I have been in the army for almost five years now. After enlisting back in 2005, I must say it has been one of the most interesting experiences in my life. Not only is everyday different, not anything stays the same. Getting bored is a hard thing to achieve. I came in as a Petroleum Laboratory Specialist (test aviation turbine fuel and other substances the Army needs data on), moved up to a Petroleum Lab Sergeant, and then I was moved into the transportation section at my Battalion Level. Now being a Battalion movement NCO I never stop going on some kind of mission. Sea Ports and Air Ports are my specialty. If it can move, I have moved it. Have to say equipment is my favorite. Every aspect of my job is frustrating, intense, tiresome, and mentally draining. I think that is why I love it. My profession is more like playing chess not checkers. Moving seven or eight steps ahead is necessary for progression within my business (work) ethics. By the time, you know something should happen it is too late to make it happen. |
Nothing happens until we move it! |
